A Study about the Genealogy of Hard White Charcoal Kilns in Iwate Prefecture in the Modern Period
岩手県における近・現代の白炭窯の系譜

　昭和初期の岩手県において白炭窯が多く分布する地域は、秋田県境に近い奥羽山系の地域である。本稿では、岩手県と秋田県の統計資料、民俗学的調査事例、考古学的調査事例を比較検討し、岩手県で築窯された近・現代の白炭窯（いわゆる石窯）は、少なからず秋田県で盛行した白炭生産と白炭窯の影響を受けて成立した可能性があることを示唆する。
