東日本前期古墳埋葬施設の基礎的検討(集成編)

東国では舟形木棺２類と箱形木棺が卓越した分布状況を示し、近畿の様相とは明らかに異なることを木棺形式分布図と集成図を示すことで明示した。岩崎卓也氏の指摘した前期後半の粘土槨＋割竹形木棺の斉一的波及や土器様相などから王権の段階的な影響力の強化を読みとる見解が現在も影響を与えていると考え、再検討の必要性を指摘するとともに、前期古墳の棺の評価は中期古墳の棺の評価とも関わることを予察した。
