研究ノート　東日本前期古墳埋葬施設研究覚書

本稿は1987年に岩崎卓也氏が東日本に見る割竹形木棺非使用の長大な埋葬施設を一括して東日本型埋葬施設として提唱した概念について、木棺形態の研究が進んだ現在でも箱形木棺と舟形木棺２類の分布が卓越する東日本の地域性を確認し、修正が必要なものの大枠として東日本型埋葬施設の概念を再構築できる可能性を説明した。
